Your role

Our Product & Engineering team design and develop the mechanics of our physical product and the electronics that goes into it. We develop the firmware that runs on the device and the cloud service it communicates with. We design and develop the mobile and web apps that our customers use. In short, there’s a lot of exciting work to be done, and by joining us you will be one of our keys to success!

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end development of our collars and associated hardware products. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring our product meets the technical and market specifications, regulatory compliance, project timelines, cost and quality.

We also believe, and are sure you agree, that presence with our customers and observing the animals are important to further develop the product in use. In the field you will gather much information and use that input to make our product even better.

Your responsibilities

• Be the project manager of all new hardware products. This is currently limited to our collars, chargers, batteries and beacons, but the hardware product portfolio may expand in the future.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
• Work closely with the hardware team consisting of mechanical, electronics, test and validation engineers, in addition to our firmware, manufacturing, and procurement teams to keep the project on track.
• Define the project responsibilities within the project, setup and drive the meeting cadence, and ensure the relevant stakeholders are informed and involved appropriately.
• Responsible for the overall timeline of the project, divide it into meaningful phases and set the appropriate milestones and checkpoints.
  
• Identify and mitigate potential risks in the project, making adjustments to the timeline or resources as necessary.
• Act as the primary point of contact between management, technical teams, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress and challenges.
• Maintain clear and detailed project documentation, including project milestones, compliance reports, meeting notes, and budget tracking.
• You will rely on the hardware product owner to drive the product and market requirements, while the project manager will be responsible for making sure the project is executed according to the right cost, time and quality, and fulfils those requirements set forward by the product owner.

Qualifications

The right candidate is preferred to have the following qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, ideally in electro-mechanical or IoT product development.
• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent planning, coordination, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving project challenges.
• Driven and result oriented, always exploring ways to improve the timeline, cost and quality of any given project.
• Fluent English oral and written communication skills. Our working language is English.
